Alumni Directory default to opt out and do not show giving history/information

1. We need gift history removed from directory profiles so alumni don’t see them

2. We need the directory to start with everyone opted out and to only have the ability to see name and class year until they opt in and allow anything to be seen.

Laura M Gehrman Rottier Thank you for posting. Almabase allows for the removal of giving history from profiles and having a default opt-out option in the directory. Your customer success manager will contact you soon regarding the same.

What specific reasons do you have for wanting the gift history removed from directory profiles?
Are there any specific conditions under which alumni should be able to see more information than just name and class year?
How do you envision the opt-in process working for alumni who want to share more information?

Sahil Mallick 1. The gift history is not correct because it only shows online gifts from the donor, not the complete history. This will cause confusion. Please turn it off for all profiles.

If they have opted in and allowed that information to be shown in the search.
Everyone should start as opted out. They can request permission to join to opt in. Once they opt in, they can select what they want shown or hidden.
