You can now solve the fairness problem where constituents with multiple affiliations (like being both Alumni and Parent) were forced to pick a single group, limiting accurate leaderboard representation and reducing engagement in campaigns where multi-affiliation is common.
What's new?
You'll now find support for multi-select form fields (checkboxes or multi-tag fields) as valid grouping options in your leaderboard configuration. When enabled, donors can be counted in all the groups they belong to through a shared attribution model.
What can you expect?
When a donor gives $100 and selects both "Alumni" and "Parent" as their constituencies, both groups will receive +1 donor count and +$100 amount raised. The system clearly communicates this duplicate counting with messaging like "Donors may be counted in multiple groups" to avoid confusion.
You can also toggle between strict attribution (traditional single-group selection) and shared attribution (counts toward all selected groups) depending on your campaign needs. This works seamlessly for constituency leaderboards, athletic team competitions (perfect for giving days where teams compete), and fund/team rankings.
Why this helps you
No more forcing multi-affiliated donors to make unfair choices! An Alumni who's also an Employee can finally be recognized in both categories, making leaderboards more inclusive and competitive. This is especially powerful for athletic giving days, cross-listed chapters, or any scenario where people genuinely belong to multiple groups. Your community engagement becomes more authentic and fair! š
