🎁 Platform Admins: Introducing “Pledge for later” – Let Donors Commit Now, Pay Later!

You can now let your donors commit to a gift even if they’re not ready to pay immediately — without losing their intent. We’re excited to roll out Pledges on Checkout Pages, designed to help you capture more committed revenue, reduce manual follow-ups, and improve your forecasting and stewardship planning.

What’s New?

Pledges on Checkout Page:
Enable “Pledge for later” where donors can commit a gift for the future (BBMS only, CSC must be set to "None").
Flexible Pledge Schedules:
Donors select the total amount, start date(starting at least 10 days from today), schedule (one-time or monthly) and number of installments. The system auto-generates an installment plan.
Secure Card Tokenization:
Donors must add a card while pledging, but no charges are made by Almabase. BBMS + RENXT handle all charges moving forward.
Gift Dashboard Enhancements:
New “Pledges” view and status updates synced daily from RENXT. You’ll now see pledged vs. received totals, overdue payments, and synced status — all in one place.

What to Expect

All pledge activity (donor and admin) is managed within Checkout Pages.
You’ll find a new “Pledges” tab under each Checkout Page showing full details, including status, balance, and installment schedule.
Statuses (Paid, Failed, Overdue) are mirrored from RENXT every day. No more guessing whether a pledge was fulfilled!
Pledge payments won’t execute until synced to RENXT . If the first installment date passes and the pledge is not synced, the pledge is auto-cancelled.

You’ll find the new “Pledge for later” option when creating a new Checkout Page. Just make sure your BBMS instance has CSC set to None - we’ll prompt you if that needs updating.
