Folder Email and Data Lists

In answer to your question, Sahil: we're currently managing the email list by trying to be logical and consistent with naming conventions, and then searching, which becomes cumbersome (especially since the list defaults to a date sort, and can't be sorted by any other means, like name). When naming the lists, I use a date when it's a one-time/static list (eg "Football Playoff Courtland NY 12.2.24") that won't be needed again, or I add a clue in the name as to where it comes from ("FoSCA Emails (from Query)"). On our Email Groups page, the list runs already to 17 pages after 9 months on the platform. I think the first 5 or 6 pages are lists we've created; the balance are the automatically generated lists for each permutation of events ("Invitees of Gymnastics Lunch", "Guests of Gymnastics Lunch with failed payment" etc), most of which are never used. It would be great if the automatically generated lists could wind up in their own folder or space.

Hi, the folder system is similar to what you would see in Outlook or Raiser's Edge. We can have a main folder and subfolders. We like to categorize by program such as Art Gallery, Homecoming, Classics, etc. Hope that helps! Just the option to add folders in the communications and data pull areas would be nice.

Great to hear your perspective, Mary Jo Howell! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific features in BBNC's folder organization do you find most useful?
- How do you currently manage your email and data lists, and what challenges do you face?
- Are there any specific ways you categorize your lists that we should consider in our folder system?
