I could also see this working for internships or job postings and other alumni -> student or alumni -> alumni opportunities beyond mentorship

I like this idea. In my organization, we have different chapters with students at various universities. It would be useful for them to have a dedicated place to reach out to alumni and say, "We are looking for someone to lead a resume workshop on October 11th; you can volunteer here." It would also give our central office the ability to help each individual chapter promote the opportunities that they post, rather than them needing to rely on us to connect them with the alumni network.
