The lockdown of the new waitlist feature gets very complicated very quickly. We had a lot of confusion where guests didn't register with enough slots. When this happened, the only way I could fix it as an admin was to register on their behalf. But for paid events, that meant that we had to connect with the guest by phone to process the registration. This made what was meant to be an automated system incredibly frustrating and time-consuming as we tried to connect with everyone who was having trouble with the registration.

There are many ways to improve this, but even if we had access to edit a waitlist's number of saved spots, that would be a big help. I reached out to support about this and their repeated suggestion was to increase the capacity of the event. We only set capacities for events when we have a hard limit on attendees, so increasing the capacity isn't an option.
