Do not edit/remove payments on Raiser's Edge when guests update their event registration

When guests change their registration - add a ticket, guest, or gift, the payment data on Raiser's Edge is removed and recreated. Can we not do that? It is important from the financial reporting perspective that the gift stays as is on RE once committed. Only admins can change it from RE if needed.
The same goes for canceled registration as well. Do not remove the payment from RE for canceled guests. We want to confirm with the guest if they want a refund or want to change the payment to a donation.

Barbara Cornellier Hi Barbara , yes we are working on it. We are working on moving event payments to RE batch. Also we will give you more control of creating or updating gifts when there is updation of registration and we can not programatically update existing gifts.
We will move away from deleting and recreating gift so id of the gift stays the same and any data you have added on gift is not removed as well. We will have a product workshop for this same change as well.
