Make it possible for admins to add guests without an email address

Make it possible for an admin can add attendees to an event in Almabase after the event has taken place.
We don't have email addresses for all of them, but do have names.
It is important to be able to add attendees post-event so that when the data is synced with RE to reflect who attended the event, the additional attendees will be reflected.
Overall, an option to add guests without an email, during or after an event will help.

We have now allowed admins to add guests with only their names and we will not send notifications when admins add, update or cancel the registration.

Ability to add guests manually and not send them confirmation emails

There are a lot of people who are added to the event manually. There has to be an ability to add them without having them receive the confirmation email.

Ability as Admins to sign up guests without email or phone number

We don't have phone numbers for all of our alumni and some of our older alumni still don't have email addresses. When we are working to help sign those alumni up for Homecoming Weekend, it makes it impossible for us to use Almabase because it requires an email address. This means that we have to enter them manually in RE but they won't appear in the AB reports or check-in kiosk.

John Todd Boone - Can you please elaborate here why do you not want them to receive an email?

Sarita: Because there is no true admin portal to edit an guest's event registration in AB, the only way for us to edit their registration is by editing it as the user. This means that any errors we need to fix will send an additional confirmation email. This happened dozens of times when guests were registering for our Homecoming event and it was for a plethora of reasons. Here are a couple common examples.
Guest A registers themself & registers Guest B as their guest for lunch. Then later Guest B registers for some other events they would like to attend. I cannon map both of Guest B's registrations to the correct RE record as AB only allows 1 registration to be mapped to the same record. So to fix this issue, I need to cancel one of the registrations for Guest B (sending a confirmation email) and then edit their other registration to add the events from the canceled registration (sending another confirmation email). Both of these emails cause confusion as neither Guest A or Guest B had requested any changes to their registration. Our best solution is for us to also reach out to Guest A and Guest B to let them know why they will receive another confirmation email which causes more steps for our team and potentially still confusion about the registration to the guests for what should be a simple fix on the back end.
Guest A registers themself and registers Guest B as their guest to lunch. Later, Guest B calls our office asking to register for more events. Because they were registered as a guest of Guest A, I need to edit Guest A's registration to add any events for Guest B. Now Guest A will be receiving a confirmation email which causes confusion as they did not request a change to their registration.

Kanhai Shah: That's great news!! This will be so helpful!

John Todd Boone We already have another request that is very similar to this. We are working on this and will update this once this is done.

I agree - but also need to add the following - sometimes, we ONLY HAVE THE NAME...so, requiring email, address, phone number that we have on the registration form doesn't work. We need a way to add in guests to an event for whom we only have a name. Most likely we aren't adding these to RE on the backend, but they still need to show up on guest lists. PLEASE give us a way to do this.
