A clean and contemporary design with white space and a responsive layout that can be customized with different color schemes and background images.
The ability to change layout options and add additional fonts (Google fonts or custom fonts).
Improved SEO through schema markup, page title, and meta description optimization, XML sitemap, and Google Analytics integration.
Widgets to display directories, job boards, upcoming events, ongoing giving campaigns, and news & updates, among others.
An image/video gallery and social media widgets (Facebook & Twitter) as well as the ability to add forms or surveys.
A banner image carousel that allows for uploading and resizing images and is compatible with mobile devices.
An announcements section that can be added below the carousel.
A directory & spaces widget format on the home page with options for top story layout, list layout, side by side, highlight 4 items, carousel, and tiles.
The ability to add multiple directories and spaces feed on the home page.
The ability to add any custom content via iframe.
The ability to edit labels, reorganize content, hide or show particular content, and show or hide the header navigation and footer on sub pages.

We've been rolling out the new home page theme using Wordpress as the platform.
The new WordPress powered home pages come with an Almabase theme out of the box, but comes with the flexibility to customise it your brand and content needs.

Ginu I don't have Wordpress on my domain as I have it set as DNS only. My hosting provider requires it to become a hosted domain to add Wordpress. Would there be issues if I did this?

BCHSAlumni Administrator you would not need to setup anything additionally on your end. There is a hosted version of WordPress within Almabase that you can utilise after we complete the setup for you.

Hi folks! This is Ginu from the Product team at Almabase. We're gradually rolling out an integration with WordPress that will really open up new opportunities for how your home page can be customised.

The feature is in beta right now and is available to try. If you're excited to try it out, please reach out to support@almabase.com and we'll help you get setup.

This is great. We've managed so far by creating a Wordpress site that mimics Almabase but if these features can in Almabase I would prefer to have it housed on Almabase. A news widget would be great that had different layouts as well. Here is what we have been doing on the Wordpress side.

Other features to consider:

Allow the features above to also be used in news/stories
Flickr Album Plugin would be great as well. Either to just link there or if photo could be downloaded directly from there to the Almabase photo gallery.

Flexibility for the customer to choose/decide which content cards they'd like to display on the homepage
Ability to add customized content cards on the homepage (current it's added only on the left-hand side)
Ability to swap the existing content cards.
Option to change the names of the content cards without having dependencies on us
Ability to customize fonts, font size, color without having a dependency on us.
Around the world - show the cities that the customer wants to display and not on the basis of "highest" populated alums. (it would be great if we can both the options).
Remove the progress bar from the profile card.
Ability to display selected events on the events cards, instead of "upcoming events"
Carousel banner images - giving the option to the users to change and see the next image (currently it changes but on a certain timeframe).
Increase the character limit on the header and footer menu options.
and Excessive white spaces on the homepage
