Sign up flow - two profiles with the same email ID

During the sign-up flow, the “Select your profile” screen should appear before the “Enter your name” step when multiple profiles share the same email address.
Currently, users are prompted to enter their name before selecting which profile they belong to.

The sign up flow needs work in general. We are having a lot of problems with duplicates...

Agreed. A clearer signup flow is needed when the same email is on multiple profiles. The other day, I came across two records (spouses) who had the same email. "Jane" signed up but it got tied to "John's" record, so John's name, phone, etc. got updated to Jane's. I just happened to catch it because our sync rules are currently set to review before updating.
