Ability to toggle off the start date/end date on competitive giving pages

We prefer to use competitive giving page because of the flexibility the campaign hubs gives us. We use competitive pages for our ongoing giving pages, so the countdown timer is misleading. Currently, we set the start/end date for fiscal years, but this can confuse donors. Being able to use campaign hubs and/or turn of the timer on competitive pages would be a huge upgrade for giving pages and their flexibility.

Great to hear your perspective, MacKenzie Michels! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide examples of how the countdown timer has confused donors in the past?
- Would you like the option to toggle the countdown timer on and off for specific campaigns or all campaigns?
- Are there any other features on the competitive giving pages that you find misleading or would like to see improved?

Ginu Donors were worried about the monthly recurring gifts and they were also worried that they would not be able to donate after the timer hit zero (since they are unaware we have to go in and update it).
We would love the option to toggle the countdown on and off for all campaigns. We have multiple campaigns that we would love to use the competitive page hubs on so having the timer removed would be an extremely helpful option for all campaigns.
I would not consider any of the features misleading, I just think some could be beneficial if they are optional. For example, having the countdown timer for giving challenges, such as a 3 day giving challenge, is helpful. When we have our ongoing (year round) giving pages, having the option to remove the countdown would make it less confusing for donors. Other than the countdown, we prefer to use the competitive pages because of the hubs!
