During our alumni challenge, we offer donor incentives to encourage alumni to donate. It is usually a branded promotional item. Some incentives have a fair market value that is large enough to make their donation not fully tax-deductible. It would be great if the donor could opt into receiving the incentive/benefit so that the receipt amount is calculated into their automated thank you email/receipt. For example, if I gave $100 and selected a gift with a FMV of $10 then my receipt would show the deductible amount as $90. It would also be helpful if the incentive item "opt-in" were only available based on a minimum donation amount. So, for example, if all donor gives $100 or more get a free t-shirt, then when a donor gives that amount (or more) during checkout they are asked if they would like to receive the incentive/benefit they are eligible for.
