When sending targeted mailings (e.g., “All alumni in Traverse City, please donate to support Traverse City students”), we often want to highlight one specific fund while still allowing donors to give to other funds if they choose.
Currently, our forms pre-select the default fund as the first option, letting donors quickly enter an amount and move on, or optionally choose/add another fund.
An enhancement idea:
Add a pop-up box (or similar prompt) with the default fund pre-selected.
Donors would be asked: “Do you want to donate to this fund?”
If Yes → they enter the dollar amount and continue.
If Choose another fund(s) → they’re taken to the existing form with categories.
This feature should be toggle-able (on/off) with the option to define which fund is used as the default in the pop-up.
This would streamline the experience for large mailings (often sent to thousands of alumni) while still giving donors flexibility.
