When I create a new record from a new gift there should be a specific "affilition" that can be set by the admin to be automatically added to that profile. For example "Donor".

To confirm a few details: should the “Donor” (or other) affiliation be auto-added only when a brand-new profile is created from a gift, or also when an existing profile receives a new gift? Also, would you want this to apply to all gifts, or only to certain gift types (ex: specific campaigns/funds/sources) you select? And if the profile already has one or more affiliations, should we add this in addition, or only apply it when no affiliation is set yet?

Ginu For our organization we would only want to add the affiliation to be auto added when creating a brand new profile, so there would be no affilations already present.
Though it may be helpful for other organizations to have the option to choose to apply to all profiles who make a gift regardless of their current affiliations or only new.
