General Feature Requests

A clean and contemporary design with white space and a responsive layout that can be customized with different color schemes and background images. The ability to change layout options and add additional fonts (Google fonts or custom fonts). Improved SEO through schema markup, page title, and meta description optimization, XML sitemap, and Google Analytics integration. Widgets to display directories, job boards, upcoming events, ongoing giving campaigns, and news & updates, among others. An image/video gallery and social media widgets (Facebook & Twitter) as well as the ability to add forms or surveys. A banner image carousel that allows for uploading and resizing images and is compatible with mobile devices. An announcements section that can be added below the carousel. A directory & spaces widget format on the home page with options for top story layout, list layout, side by side, highlight 4 items, carousel, and tiles. The ability to add multiple directories and spaces feed on the home page. The ability to add any custom content via iframe. The ability to edit labels, reorganize content, hide or show particular content, and show or hide the header navigation and footer on sub pages.

The system does not identify obvious duplicates because the name-matching system takes FN + MN + LN into account. This needs to change so that the system can identify more duplicates accurately.

Adding this feedback on behalf of New Hampton School: "We are working on the spaces piece of the platform and would like to have options to re-organize the individual spaces. For example, we’d like the classes listed in chronological order, but currently, we can't. It would be nice to have a feature to organize the spaces feed page."

Today, when a user clicks on Unsubscribe, they get three options. Unsubscribe specific email groups Unsubscribe from one-to-one communication Unsubscribe all communication. But the user doesn't have a choice to unsubscribe from a subscription group, and the assumption that an email group is a subscription group is not always true.

No one would know that the upward arrow icon would indicate a like for a post. Simply changing what the icon is or allowing people to choose a reaction to it may yield a better understanding and engagement of the post.

Most of the data shown on the profile's engagement snapshot is also tracked in Raisers Edge. It would be incredible if that snapshot included their interactions with Almabase AND Raisers Edge. The biggest help would be giving history. We can only share giving details online with Black Baud Net Community, which we will be shutting down as we pick up Almabase. But the giving history snapshot it Almabase only includes giving through Almabase, not their entire history recorded in Raisers Edge.

One of the main projects we expect to use Spaces for is for our Alumni Chapters. We will be selecting local moderators to help us run the chapters. It would be helpful if the moderators had the ability to see who else was subscribed to the space

Downloading attachments that are submitted with Form Submissions is currently very tedious. The Export of the form submissions - gives us a URL for each attachment. We need to click on each URL & save this file. This process alone takes uses a few days as we receive hundreds of scholarship letters every year through a form on Almabase. It is very important for us to maintain an archive of these scholarship letters. If you could consider a bulk download option for attachments, that would save us a lot of time and effort. Re: the naming convention (in case of bulk download)- if the name of the file is the same as the 'Form Submitter' that should work well. We need the archive to have a clear view of which letter was submitted by which student. We've shared this request with the Almabase team in September 2022 and we are again re-iterating the need for this. Blackbaud coaches its customers to store values in Constituent Codes rather than having it as a custom field/attribute. So the corresponding field on Almabase - "Affiliation" should be made similar to the constituent code.

Our job board is one of the most robust portions of our platform, and I'd like to see new jobs posted that week included in the automated digest post that goes out on Friday. Currently, only posts to spaces are included.
