General Feature Requests

We would like for searches to be able to recognize letters that are similar to symbols. For example a search for "Jose" would find "José" So search would search... e for all these symbols: é, è, ê, ë, ē, ĕ, ę, ė, ȅ a for all these symbols: á, à, â, ä, ā, ă, ą, ȧ o for all these symbols: ó, ò, ô, ö, ō, ő, ȯ, ø i for all these symbols: í, ì, î, ï, ī, ĭ u for all these symbols: ú, ù, û, ü, ū, ŭ, ů, ų, ȕ

It would be convenient if the invite to connect button goes away if a person is not registered at the time of their passing and we mark them deceased. It would also be an added convenience to somehow display their record automatically (as if registered). Many users occasionally visit our site to find out who has passed from their class.

We would like to make the Membership Payments visible to users under the Giving History Tab. At the moment, it is only visible to admins under the Engagement Tab.

In the section for our school's education information on profiles it is assumed that the alum would be a graduate (year of graduation). However, we are finding that students who attended our school but did not graduate from our school still want to engage in our system. Adding the class year field would allow people to acknowledge what year they would have graduated without inaccurately noting they graduated from our school.

I am getting more and more reports (and complaints) of the difficulty of users needing help to retrieve their verification codes, especially on mobile devices in a timely manner - or not at all. Many of our core users are older and are not as tech-savvy, producing a lot of frustration for them. I appreciate the consideration.

If a user is a graduate their class year appears in their profile like “John Doe (Class of 1995)”. It would be cool to have the word “Faculty” “Student” or “Friend” appear instead of class year for those particular users.

Today, the platform doesn't support recurring payments for memberships with the BBMS payment gateway. The option for admins to make it a recurring commitment for users opting for the membership will be helpful.

We need a way to create a Membership Pages to collect payments for various memberships that we offer. However, each Membership Page is a little different with differing membership levels, costs, and OTC/benefit components. Currently, the Giving Page Module will not work for Membership Pages because of the following: -Does not allow for an Other than Contribution component to be setup (Only available in the Events Module) -Only allows 4 or 6 giving level options depending on how the page is setup -Does not allow you to match up Giving levels to the Membership Names/levels Currently, the Event Page Module will not work for Membership Pages because of the following: -Creating a Membership Page with the Events Module would make the Membership Page appear as an event and be listed with events. -It would make more sense for Memberships to fall under the Giving Module umbrella or its own Membership Module umbrella. -Creating a Membership page with the Events Module would require the “Event’s” dates/location when a Membership does not have these. -Yes, a membership will be around an annual time frame, but we wouldn’t want this to show as an event for 365 days and appear in the calendar of events.
